Chuck Kearney, the engineering intern who helped place the statue of couch Requa and Dean Fouquette.
It was Chuck's brainstorm originally and he and Dean Fouquette, class of 1971, spearheaded the fundraising drive. Since the artist was a friend of Chuck's who lives in Troutdale, Oregon, he was often onsite while the statue was being sculpted, furnished his football shoes as models of the time for Req to wear. Anyway, the artist allowed Chuck to sculpt the shoes and sign the base near them.
